Introduction

We live in a generation where there is a lot of information, but little wisdom. Social media shows many opinions, but few lives that reflect the character of Christ. People seek success, recognition, and pleasure, but God calls us to seek something much more valuable: the wisdom that comes from Him.

The Bible teaches us that true wisdom is not simply about knowing many things, but about living according to God's will and reflecting Jesus Christ in our character.

"Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding... for her profit is better than the profit of silver."

(Proverbs 3:13-14)

Today we will look at four fundamental principles that will help us live as true disciples of Christ.

I. Seek God's Wisdom and Embrace It

"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; and with all your getting get understanding."

(Proverbs 4:7)

Wisdom does not come by accident; it must be sought diligently.

Many seek riches, titles, or fame, but God tells us that wisdom must come first.

Wisdom helps us to:

But the greatest expression of wisdom is Jesus Christ.

"Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God."

(1 Corinthians 1:24)

Seeking wisdom is seeking Christ. The more we know Jesus, the more we learn to live as He lived.

II. Develop a Character Formed by Jesus Christ

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus."

(Philippians 2:5)

Our greatest challenge is not simply attending church, but becoming more like Christ every day.

Jesus showed an extraordinary character:

The world changes its personality according to circumstances.

The believer remains firm because his identity is found in Christ.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control."

(Galatians 5:22-23)

True Christian character is not demonstrated only through words, but through daily actions.

III. Live in Love and Unity

"By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

(John 13:35)

Jesus never said that the world would recognize His disciples because of the size of their buildings or their talents.

What identifies the true Christian is love.

That love must be reflected:

"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."

(Romans 12:18)

Unity does not mean thinking the same way about everything, but remaining united in Christ.

The enemy divides; Christ unites.

"Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

(Ephesians 4:3)

When a church lives in love and unity, the world can see the reflection of God's Kingdom.

IV. Be a Good Testimony in a Generation in Need

Our society needs fewer speeches and more examples.

"You are the light of the world... Let your light so shine before men."

(Matthew 5:14-16)

The world watches how we respond when we face difficulties. It is precisely in those moments that our testimony has the greatest impact.

Jesus overcame rejection, suffering, and the cross without ever stopping loving.

That is why He is our model of life and hope.

"For Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps."

(1 Peter 2:21)

Being a testimony means:

V. Be the Salt of the Earth

"You are the salt of the earth... but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?"

(Matthew 5:13)

Salt has several functions:

In the same way, believers are called to bring hope to a world without direction.

We cannot lose our identity by trying to look like the world.

The world is the one that needs the flavor of Christ that is within us.

Our lives should cause others to want to know Jesus.

"Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt."

(Colossians 4:6)

Practical Application

This week, let us commit ourselves to:

  1. Seek God's wisdom daily through prayer and reading His Word.
  2. Ask ourselves before acting: "What would Jesus do in this situation?"
  3. Forgive those who have offended us.
  4. Promote unity and not division.
  5. Be light and salt wherever God has placed us.
  6. Reflect the character of Christ through our words and actions.

Conclusion

Wisdom leads us to Christ.

Christ transforms our character.

A transformed character produces love.

Love creates unity.

And a united church becomes a powerful testimony for a generation that needs to know the Savior.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."

(Proverbs 9:10)
"For to me, to live is Christ."

(Philippians 1:21)

May our prayer be:

"Lord, give me Your wisdom. Form the character of Christ in me. Help me live in love, promote unity, and be salt and light for this generation, so that others may know You through my life. Amen."
